Our Strategic Initiatives

CERC delivers practical anti-corruption interventions from schools to institutions, combining prevention, awareness, accountability monitoring, and policy advocacy.

Core programs

Integrity Clubs

Student-led integrity and accountability actions in schools across Kinshasa, South Kivu, and Kasaï. Students learn to identify, document, and report corruption in their schools and communities.

Community Monitors

Over 1,000 trained young people track the use of public funds for local development projects — covering roads, schools, and health facilities — and report misuse to authorities and media.

Civic Education

Awareness campaigns and workshops teaching communities about the costs of corruption and the practical tools citizens have to demand accountability from service providers and officials.

Leadership Course

Anti-corruption capacity building for youth, civil society leaders, and journalists, covering ethical decision-making, investigative reporting, and community mobilization.

Applied Research

Interdisciplinary studies on the causes and consequences of corruption in education, health, and public administration. Findings are shared openly with citizens and decision-makers.

Institutional Capacity Building

Strengthening civil society organizations focused on transparency and good governance — providing methodologies, risk-assessment tools, and operational support.

Target sectors

Education

Ensuring that school funds, infrastructure budgets, and teacher salary allocations reach their intended beneficiaries.

Health

Monitoring pharmaceutical procurement, health facility construction, and healthcare subsidy programs.

Governance

Promoting transparency and accountability in public administration, local government, and state-owned enterprises.
